D&D Set To Install New Malarkey Roof For US Coast Guard In Seattle

Another featured benefit of Malarkey Vista shingle is their pantented tapered nail line. Malarkeys nail line does not terminate suddenly where the two shingle pieces are laminated together like many other shingle lines. Nail lines on many shingles cause problems on lower pitched roofs. When the installers fasten the shingle with a nail on the thin nail line it causes a small depression that can channel water back under the shingles. This is known as water troughing. Malarkeys tapered nail line elimates the issue all together and helps protect the structure it is water proofing. The Vista shingle was a great choice for the US Coast Guard.

Starting the year off with a bang installing 1,000 squares of Malarkey Vista

2017 is going to be a great year for D&D Construction. As a woman owned business (WOSB) we consistently strive to obtain contracts that allow us to serve our community. This has led to many roofing and construction projects on JBLM and our most recent award being a United States Coast Guard building in Seattle, WA. This project is set to start later in 2017, which will be one of the top Seattle roofing projects this year. 

Introducing the new Malarkey Vista Shingle

The shingle of choice for the Coast Guard is the Malarkey Vista. The Vista laminate shingle is a SBS modified shingle that is designed to withstand the test of time. The rubberized content enables the asphalt resist breakdown under ultra violet rays and hold the granules onto the shingle longer. The end result is that Vista will last longer than almost all other standard shingle lines.
